About the Artist

What can I say? ...
I'm a country girl at heart, who happens to love
the city!
I love horses, the outdoors, reading and
occasionally dancing with my girlfriends! (I
guess I should squeeze my husband in there
somewhere too :-)

I live in the San Jose 'Bay Area' in California.
Here, we have access to gorgeous country for
horseback riding, biking, running, you name it.
We have incredible beaches in Santa Cruz (where I
work), Monterey, plus we have the convenience and
high tech of the Silicon Valley. Within an hour
drive we also have Napa (I love the Vino), oh and
a small and little-known city called San
Francisco.
(This is good for me to write down, because I
sometimes need reminding on why we pay through
the nose to live here!)

I am very grateful to my wonderful family... my mom
and dad are still married after 35 years and have
always been incredibly supportive, fantastic role
models. And my older sister is my best friend.
We all live within about 5 miles from each other --
just close and far enough for family. Plus, I
lucked out with in-laws that I love too! How'd I
get so lucky?!

I grew up in Nashua NH, a VERY small town back in
the 70's. And I'm grateful to have had a small
town up-bringing. (Life can be a rat-race,
especially in this neck of the woods.) But
I'm a California girl now and can't imagine
shoveling snow on a regular basis.

I started drawing at a very young age. Art runs
in the family -- it was my fathers major in
college (he's very talented) and we, my sister
and I, were encouraged to be creative. My
favorite subject has always been horses... I've
been horse crazy since age 5 when I started
riding. And now, I also practice interior
design, which has further encouraged a love for
modern art and playing with abstract medium &
subject matters in my painting.

OK -- that's enough for now, as I'm sure you are
snoring and propping your eyelids open with
toothpicks. ;-)

Cheers,
